  Through the gentler weeks, Leaves falling like fat raindrops Death a cheerful swirl Creating gaudy carpets.   Bright autumnal skies darken, Washed out, snow threatens, Morning mist, bleak rain days Grey upon grey.   Grey upon gold, Fallen leaf glory worn Reduced to sludge Trampled to oblivion.   Life becomes death Becomes life again.
